1. Friends Apartment Building
No trip to New York would be complete for avid fans of the popular TV show Friends, without paying homage to the Friends Apartment Building. Whilst others might be heading for the Empire State Building Cheap Ticket Guide true fans are off to locate the exterior image of the apartment building that is synonymous with the show.
The building is located on the corner of Bedford St & Grove St in Greenwich Village. Whilst there is actually a coffee shop on the corner, I was disappointed to see it wasn’t named Central Perk! Walk further up Grove St, (12-21 Grove St), to see the exterior shots of where Ross/Ugly Naked Guy lived.
2. When Harry Met Sally
Remember back to that famous scene in a New York deli from the popular movie blockbuster When Harry Met Sally? Here’s a chance for you to sit where Sally sat although did you know that Katz Deli was famous long before Meg Ryan & Billy Crystal took to the screens. In fact, although it was packed on the day we visited, we seemed to be the only ones interested in the Harry Met Sally connection. Look out the large sign hanging from the ceiling that pinpoints exactly where Sally sat.
Katz Deli can be found at 205 East Houston Street, (corner of Ludlow St), and do try out what she’s having as the food is pretty spectacular.

3. Ghostbusters Fire Station
Ghostbusters fans will want to check out the famous fire station on 14 N. Moore Street that was used for the exterior shots for the Ghostbusters HQ and offers a classic photo opportunity for avid fans. Just be aware that it remains a working fire station!
4. The Empire State Building
Who can forget Sleepless in Seattle or the Cary Grant classic An Affair to Remember whilst not forgetting King Kong! The Empire State Building is synonymous with romantic movies in New York City through the years and no trip would be complete without a closer look.
5. Stand Under the Clock at Grand Central
Never forget that Grand Central has been the backdrop to countless movies over the years including North By Northwest, The Cotton Club & The Fisher King. In addition, one of the first flash mobs took place at Grand Central Grand Central & quickly went viral. Stand under the infamous Grand Central clock; witness to many a romantic reunion over the years both on & off screen.
