Leeds Castle; Green Travel Offer, (save 20%)
Car-free visitors to Leeds Castle can enjoy a 20% discount off admission prices. So for those arriving by train, bus or bike, simply make your way to the visitor centre on the day and present your car free evidence, (train/bus tickets, those with free bus passes must request a receipt for the journey or be able to demonstrate the location of your bike). Unfortunately it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer so no double deals with the 2 for 1 National Rail voucher and can only be used on the day not alongside tickets purchased online.

Kent’s Big Weekend; Free Tickets to Leeds Castle;
Each year, those that live in Kent can apply for FREE tickets to Leeds Castle via a ballot with tickets randomly selected. Kent’s Big Weekend runs during March each year with the ballot open for applications around February time. We’ll bring you more details as they come in for 2024.

Some of these extra activities are included within your standard entrance charge, others incur additional costs and can be excluded from the free-return-visit offer.
Leeds Castle; Bolt-On Attractions
For those looking to explore Leeds Castle from a differing perspective, there are plenty of bolt-on attractions available to extend your visit. Why not enjoy a Segway Tour that takes you off the beaten track, (you can even explore the setting before it opens to the public). Try a Go Ape aerial assault course high above the ground or take to the water with the black swan ferry, the choice of yours.
Leeds Castle; Parking
Good to see that parking remains FREE of charge at Leeds Castle. It is quite a walk from the car park to the Castle through the gardens, (approx 10/15 minutes walk). You can opt for the miniature train instead that departs from a pick up point close to the ticket barrier although there is a charge for this, (£1.50 per adult/£1 child with under 4’s free). Interesting to note that the miniature train takes a much quicker route to the castle than the one signposted for walkers! There is a complimentary transport service for the less mobile.
Leeds Castle; Segway Tours
For those looking for a new perspective when exploring Leeds Castle then look out for the Segway Tours that takes you off the beaten track. Your tour takes you on a less trodden path where you’ll quickly be rewarded with stunning views of the castle & grounds. You don’t need to purchase entrance tickets to Leeds Castle to enjoy a Segway Tour, (however once your tour is completed you will have to leave the site), so for those with only limited time available this can offer an unusual glimpse into Leeds Castle.

i. Kent NOT Yorkshire; you wouldn’t be the first to end up at the wrong side of the country but it certainly makes for a long day! Leeds Castle in located close to Maidstone in Kent.
ii. Scooters; unfortunately scooters for the children are no longer allowed on site, (with the exception of ‘Smart Trikes’ for toddlers).
iii. Something Quirky; look out for the dog collar museum for those with a penchant for the pooch.
iv. Take An Early Segway Tour; that offers access to Leeds Castle before it opens to the public.

Hi Jane, the Gardeners’ World magazine 2 for 1 discount card is indeed valid at Leeds Castle, (although not valid on event days) and offers one free entry with one full-paying adult where the 2 for 1 saving is £35. The terms & conditions for Leeds Castle request that you don’t make multiple bookings or share your 2-for-1 Gardens card – where card misuse can invalidate your discount claim. As with many of Leeds Castle other promotions, I suspect that this offers you single use entry only and does not offer you access for the year, Liz

Hi Philip, this is a great promotion run by Leeds Castle that allows select ticket holders to return for free as many times as they wish over the year, (excluding estate closures). There is no additional charge in place for the free return visit(s) perk as it comes as standard for tickets purchased directly from Leeds Castle. Admission tickets are valid for 12 months from the day you select when booking – you do not necessarily need to visit on the day you select, but your ticket will be valid from that day onwards and you can visit any day thereafter. This ‘pay for a day and visit all year’ promotion is available on tickets purchased directly from Leeds Castle and promotional tickets such as the Gardeners’ World Magazine 2 for 1 offer only secure you one-day entry and cannot be used alongside this unlimited return offer, Liz

It would be a good idea to sell a once only visit for those who live at a distance.
Annual ticket is a good idea for those living locally but too expensive for a one-off visit!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the feedback – I can see your thinking although we at Topdogdays are independent of Leeds Castle and all visitor attractions. Some attractions offer a locals’ pass such as the Eden Project or discounted tickets for local postcodes such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach that offer rewards for local visitors.
I totally agree we are quite a fair distance away as well and wanted to do a day trip but for £90 for the 4 of us thats very expensive for 1 day out. I could take the kids to a theme park for that price as would only be used once.

Leeds Castle is one of my favourite places to visit with my grandchildren as there is always so many things for them to do. The day ticket offers great value as we can then return as many times as we like over the year for free.
Hi Sheila, I have to agree Leeds Castle works well for all the family with plenty of attractions for the children included within the ticket price. Their free returns offer that comes with all standard price day tickets do offer value for money too.
How does the annual pass option work at Leeds Castle? I thought there was an extra charge for this option?
Hi Kevin, previously there was a £5 charge in place per person to upgrade your day ticket to Leeds Castle into an annual pass. However this year, there is NO additional charge in place as standard day tickets now include free return visits to Leeds Castle during the year, (excludes special events).

Hi Jon, I have now received clarification regarding your Leeds Castle query. English Heritage members previously did receive a discount at Leeds Castle but unfortunately this is no longer the case.
Hi TopDog, can I buy a 1 day ticket for Leeds Castle and then opt for the annual pass once I have visited?
Hi, yes you can actually purchase a day ticket to Leeds Castle, (either on the day or in advance) & then upgrade to an annual pass on the day. This means you have the opportunity to check out the attraction to see if this is somewhere you would like to return to BEFORE paying the additional £5 per person. However, you cannot take advantage of this offer on any day following your initial visit, only on the day:)
If we book accommodation at Leeds Castle, does this include all the entrance charges/access to the facilities at Leeds Castle as well?
Hi James, yes accommodation located within Leeds Castle includes access to the attraction on the days of your visit. The great advantage here is that this also includes out of hours access to the adventure playgrounds, maze & grounds too:) You will need to pay for additional cost activities, (segways, go ape, punting, boat rides) as usual.
